Today is NATIONAL LOLLIPOP DAY, which marks the invention of the modern lollipop — credited to George Smith of New Haven, Connecticut.
Look at these fabulous lollipops. Wow. How colorful and so pretty. It inspired a pretty striped classic hat for our Hattingdon.

Hattingdon wears a striped classic hat in candy inspired colors. She holds a decorative lollipop in her mouth. How sweet it is.
Mr Smith trademarked the name “Lolly Pop” in 1931 following the creation of the stick-candy in 1908. Thank you Mr Smith! More at this link.
