Happy Birthday Vivian

Birthday cake and decorations.

Dear Fearless Leader
(ahem).

Roses are red,
Violets are blue
We’re a year older
And so are you.

Now at your age
Make sure you stop
To smell the roses
Before you drop.

Signed, Your Mad Hatters

Skylar headscarf

Skylar post media header art.

How about this look? Vivian created a social media inspired, tied headscarf, in black and white. And how about those shades? Bright and sunny — just like Hattingdon.

Skylar Hattingdon.

The name Skylar is of Dutch and English origin, meaning “scholar.” It also carries meanings like “eternal life,” “strength,” and “love,” making it a modern, versatile, and meaningful choice.

Hattingdon is versatile alright. Wink! See you again soon.

With love, Hattingdon & Co.

Flashblack Etienne

Etienne in the colors of the French flag.

There is little doubt that this is one of Vivian’s all time favourite hats, and for a lot of Hattingdon fans too. It was designed so many years ago, so early on, that none of us, including Vivian, can remember when she created it.

It is a great look. We love love love it.

Etienne Hattingdon.

Totally wonderful. Red, white, and blue always creates a great look? Bye for now. See you again soon.

Bobbie in yellow

Bobbie mod cap fashion hat blog post banner 2025. In yellow and white.

Summer is winding down and Fall is on its way. We are not quite ready to let go of Summer. How about you?

Today Hattingdon is wearing a cheerful mod cap in a gorgeous yellow with swirls and polka dots in white. This should keep us in a sunny mood.

Vivian named the design Bobbie. We love this hat. Sigh.

How about some poetry? A.E. Housman’s poem reflects on the passing of summer and the introspection it often brings.

When Summer’s End is Nighing

by A.E. Housman

When summer’s end is nighing
And skies at evening cloud,
I muse on change and fortune
And all the feats I vowed
When I was young and proud.
