Cartoon Horses with Hat-titude
This is such a gorgeous hat. We have rarely blogged it and not sure why. It is such a lovely work of art.
Records show Vivian created it on September 16, 2016, and named the hat Peggy. No doubt about it —this is one of her very best.
So vibrant. The choice of colors. Her use of them. Amazing. You can tell we are in love with it. We hope you are too.

It has been a very very long time since any of Hattingdon’s cousins, the Hattingdon-Grays, have been on the blog. Here is a surprise treat — a quick visit from Marcus. And he doesn’t disappoint. Check out this hat.

Marcus wears a rich red top hat which has a black hatband. The hatband features a white pulse line followed by a red heart. Love love love it.

Today Hattingdon is wearing her lovely Pippa hat created in pure red. She looks marvelous, doesn’t she? Sigh.
The Pippa hat features a round dome with a large tilted circular upturned brim. Matching red nosebobs complete the look. Pip pip hooray!
What’s in a name? How about this? We had no idea until we looked it up.
The name Pippa is a girl’s name of English, Italian origin meaning “lover of horses”.
Pippa, a peppy condensation of Philippa that turns it from serious to sprightly, has come into the public eye in a big way, being Prince William’s sister-in-law.

Hey! It’s World Vegan Day.
On this day, Vegan groups and practitioners of veganism organize educational drives and workshops to bring attention to the importance of animal rights and kindness towards our fellow creatures on Earth.
Hattingdon is vegan of course. All horses naturally are (wink). Oh. Look who has stopped by. With a nice big carrot.
Hattingdon creator Vivian has been a vegan for decades. She says, “I never was much of a meat eater. I used to push it around my plate when I was a kid. I just did not want it. I became a vegetarian in college, and a vegan a bit later when I learned about it. I am an old timer now and doing very, very well on it”.
Some research has found there are certain health benefits linked to vegan diets such as lower blood pressure and cholesterol, lower rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer.
