Asher then and now

Hello!

Fall began officially on Saturday, September 23rd. We are watching and waiting for the gorgeous colours it brings. It is still a little too warm yet where we are.

We decided to go ahead and get into the spirit of things with two darling Fall inspired top hats. Hattingdon adores top hats.

First up is the original Asher top hat that Vivian created in 2008. How fun. Anyone remember this? We love the deep wine red she chose and the golden hatband. And all that leaf detailing! Wonderful.

Ten years later, Vivian decided to reimagine the Asher design, giving it a whole new look. The colours she chose are delicious. The rich golden yellow, vibrant orange and rich brown are wonderful together. What a stylish look!

Hope you enjoyed them, and they gave you “a hatful of smiles”. See you again here soon.

With love, Hattingdon & Co.

Classic Debbie

Debbie Hattingdon blog post featured image.

Hello and welcome. We have a classic hat for you today. Hooray! say classic lovers.

This also happens to be the Debbie hat’s blog debut, created by Vivian in the distinctive classic hat silhouette.

The Debbie classic hat features a crown and brim in deepest navy, with a hatband and “nosebobs” in a rich red. They complement each other beautifully.

Doesn’t she look handsome? Hattingdon can go anywhere in that hat.

Trivia Time. When Hattingdon started wearing earrings, we referred to them as “earbobs” — a Southern expression. A bit later on, we began calling the ‘bobs’ on her noseband “nosebobs”.

Thank you for visiting with us.

First there was Curtis. Then there was Harper. And just before the arrival of the classic hat silhouette, there was Etienne.

Vivian decided to freshen up the Etienne hat . . . . just a little. It looks terrific, doesn’t it? There is something about the combination of red, white and blue.

Well. What do you think?

Oh, the name Etienne is, “A French variant of the Greek name Stephen meaning ‘garland, crown’.”

We love you and wish you a “hatful of smiles”. Stop by again soon. — Love, Hattingdon.

Into the green

Ilona Hattingdon design blog post header.

Very Well Mind tells us the following about the color green:

“Typically, green symbolizes life, fertility, renewal, and resurrection. Green is a mix of yellow (which symbolizes glory and energy) and blue (which relates to God and the heavens).”

Let’s take a look at some gloriously, heavenly hats in green with Hattingdon. She looks absolutely wonderful.

The hat coming up is a vintage beauty from 2016, and very possibly the pièce de résistance of Hattingdon’s entire collection of green hats. Vivian named the hat Susannah. Isn’t she sweeeeeet?

We hope you love this collection. It is a knockout! Come back and see us soon. —Hattingdon.
