Ooooh. Look at the Jessie hat. How lovely and cheerful and oh so pretty. It makes us feel like the sun just came out. How about you? Isn’t she a sweetie?
The Jessie design features a floral wraparound headpiece made of rich yellow daisies with brown centers.

Hattingdon chose to wear one of her all time favourite hat silhouettes — the “sweetheart” hat.
Vivian created the hat in a luscious sunny yellow, decorating the large upturned brim with a circular floral inspired motif in crisp white.

Back in 2015, a charming ladies’ gardening club based in Atlanta asked Vivian to create a Hattingdon just for them. She did, and named the design Solana. We had tee shirts made for them, tote bags, greeting cards and mugs. Here she is.
Solana is a girl’s name of Spanish origin meaning “sunshine”.
By the way, this darling hat puts us in mind of that George and Ira Gershwin, Heyward Du Bose song — “Summertime”, as sung by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Priceless.

How about some cheery hats to distract us for a bit? The happiest color we can think of is yellow. So this week — from Monday 25th July through Saturday 30th July, we will feature Hattingdon in happy yellow hats.
It is Classic Hat Monday, so let us kick off the festivities with Hattingdon’s “Lacey” hat.
Yellow symbolizes happiness, warmth and sunshine in most cultures — characteristics of the yellow sun and its effects.
