Happy Birthday Vivian

Birthday cake and decorations.

Dear Fearless Leader
(ahem).

Roses are red,
Violets are blue
We’re a year older
And so are you.

Now at your age
Make sure you stop
To smell the roses
Before you drop.

Signed, Your Mad Hatters

Bobbie in green & a poem

Bobbie Blog Post Banner

Hello from the Hattingdon family of hats. We have been celebrating with green hats ever since St Patrick’s Day. What fun we have had.

The biggest surprise? Who knew Hattingdon had so many green hats. We didn’t. And here is yet another. To round out the month, we selected the Bobbie mod cap hat design — in green of course. Here she is.

The “Bobbie” hat is a rounded, puffy mod cap in a gorgeous green decorated with large and small white polka dots and large swirls. Hattingdon looks so good in her mod caps. They really suit her. Delightful.

We hope you enjoyed March with us. It has been a lot of fun. Oh. The promised poem is up next. Sigh. — Love, Hattingdon.

March Bids a Fond Goodbye

by L G Mace | A Poem

March is coming to its final end…
and April showers will be upon us soon.
In some places… March’s warmer weather
melts the winter snows…painting the hillside
with yellow daisies as gold as Pirates doubloons!

The Pussy Willow and the sunshine crocus
call each other friend.
And the late melting snows high in the hills…
overflow the rivers and the streams.
In warmer climes March lets go its frosted breath…
bringing lazy Springtime dreams.

March ends Winter… and sends it scurrying out the door.
And in Springtime meadows… blooms a many colored quilt
of wildflowers galore.
See how easily the seasons pass and quietly fly…
As March sadly leaves… bidding us a fond goodbye.

January’s Promise

A Reflection

by Poet, CATHERINE PULSIFER

In the depths of winter’s icy reign,
January comes, fresh and untamed.
A new year begins, a chance to renew,
Leaving behind the old for the new.

With hearts warm, we gather near,
Welcoming the day with hope and cheer.
Through frost and chill, we take the time,
To treasure moments and lessons find.

Resolutions form from looking within,
Goals to strive for, dreams to begin.
With pen in hand, our plans take shape,
Fueling our hearts to celebrate.

January’s a time to start anew,
A chance to build, a chance to pursue.
With hope as our guide, we boldly face,
The triumphs ahead, each step embraced.

So, let us cherish this special day,
In January’s light, let hope stay.
The past is behind, the future is clear,
In January, we find strength for the year.

Each morning brings promise, each day a gift,
Through trials and triumphs, our spirits lift.
With courage and faith, we pave the way,
Creating a year of joy each day.
