Happy St Patrick’s Day 2025

Dia Dhuit blog banner. Erin Top Hat.

Hello there, and welcome. “Dia duit” (dee-ah gwit) is the most common way to say “hello” among Irish nationals who speak Gaelic. The greeting literally means “may God be with you.” You can say dia duit to greet people in any setting.

Erin

Erin go Bragh means “Ireland forever”. It inspired Vivian to create a very special hat. Here it is.

Hattingdon wears a gorgeous top hat in the colours of “the green and the gold” of Ireland, embellished with a charming shamrock in white. Vivian named the hat “Erin”. There is more below, including a beautiful St. Patrick’s Day poem by Julie Garwood.

An Irish Wish for St. Patricks Day

By Poet: Julie Garwood

May you always have
A sunbeam to warm you,
Good luck to charm you,
And a sheltering angel
So nothing can harm you,
Laughter to cheer you,
Faithful friends near you,
And whenever you pray,
Heaven to hear you.

May your joys
Be deep and many,
May your heart
be light and glad,
May you have the best
St. Patrick’s Day
That you have ever had.

Thank you for spending time with us. See you again soon.

Tracey fashion

Tracey Hattingdon blog banner.

Hello and welcome. It is so nice to see you.

Today we have a special treat. Hattingdon models one of her earliest toppers, a vintage saucer hat in black with oval disk and chunky leaf motif.

Hattingdon creator Vivian made it in four colorways — a luscious lavender, grass green, sunny yellow and raspberry pink. She named the design Tracey.

Sweeeeeeet!

Skye ballcap

Zena blog post banner. Stage right.

Hello there. We have such a cute Hattingdon for you today. It is a ‘travel in outer space’ inspired ballcap in the most gorgeous blue. Take a look. Isn’t she sweet?

Skye Ballcap.

The color is inspired by the “big blue marble” of earth as seen from outer space. It features an adorable rocket circling around a planet surrounded with dots and stars.

We renamed the design Skye after a sweet girl who dreams of being an astronaut herself some day.

First woman in Space

Do you know who the first woman to go into space is?

VALENTINA Side by Side
Valentina Tereshkova, Cosmonaut

“Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman to go to space in 1963, very early in crewed space exploration, and it would be almost twenty years before another flew (Svetlana Savitskaya).” Tereshkova remains the youngest woman to have flown in space under the international definition of 100 km altitude, and the youngest woman to fly in Earth orbit.” Read more »

You see, we are more than just pretty hats. Wink!
