Missing Summer

The grass so green,
the sun so bright.
Life seems a dream,
no worries in sight.

Tans and tank tops,
laughter and bliss.
Each moment passes
without even a miss.

Friends and cookouts,
memories and laughs.
Good times to remember,
but how long will it last?

The grass soon fades,
leaves begin to fall.
School replaces sleepovers.
Oh, I’ll miss it all.

Hello and welcome to Classic Hat Monday. This week we have a lovely, colorful striped hat in a trio of eye popping rich citrus colors. Ready to see her? Here she is.

Citrine Classic Hat.

We named the design Citrina, a variation of Citrine.

Citrine is a semiprecious, transparent variety of quartz that can be pale yellow to brownish orange in color. It’s the birthstone for November and represents the 13th anniversary.

Vivian’s Fave Hats: Letter I

Hello there and welcome.

When Vivian went to select hats for this post she was astonished to find that we did not have a single hat beginning with the letter “I”. She had to address that right away.

Vivian created two brand new hats! She named the classic hat Ivy and the fashion hat Ilona.

What do you think? Isn’t she a doll? It has a Roaring 20’s sort of vibe going on doesn’t it?

And the name Ilona? Wikipedia (the fount of all knowledge) states:

‘Ilona is a common name in Finland, where it is considered to refer to the Finnish word ilo (“joy”) and ilona literally means “as a joy [to someone]”. It is also common in Latvia, Estonia, France, Lithuania and Poland (formerly in crown union with Hungary).’
