August 27 is National Peach Day on the National Day Calendar to celebrate one of summertime’s most scrumptious fruits known as the peach!
August is prime peach season in the U.S. and we want everyone to enjoy a few peaches, plus remember the hardworking peach growers who provide us with this delicious fruit.
Here is our Hattingdon in a classic hat in peach. We named the design Tangie.
Tangie Hattingdon Classic.
Hattingdon looks luscious in peach, don’t you think? How are you celebrating? Wishing you a lovely day!
When Vivian created thisdesign all those many moons ago, she named it Cadence. It is one of the most popular Hattingdon designs ever, and still going!
Vivian decided to “freshen it up” a bit — just a little (wink).

Then . . . . there is this one. Vivian made a few adjustments when creating a third version. She says this is the one she wants. So charming.
Vivian’s Pick.
Which one catches your eye?
New name?
Since we gave her a bit of a make over, a group of Hattingdon followers asked us to rename her Allegra. It is a very nice name. Here’s what it means — and how it is typically used.
Allegra is Italian in origin. It means happy and jaunty. The musical term Allegro means “quickly with a happy air”.
How lovely.
But some Hattingdon fans wrote us saying that Allegra sounds like she has a cold or an allergy or something, and might sneeze any minute. Hahahaha. Hmmm. We cannot have that can we?
Easy. We will continue to call her Cadence. Thank you, and see you again soon.
The “Slammer”— “Slamming Sam Snead” — is very likely the greatest golf pro of his or anyone else’s generation. I remember watching him on TV with my Dad as a young girl. I could see even at that age he was hugely talented, and found him mesmerizing to watch.
The Hat
I created a “golf hat” for Hattingdon that resembles something that Mr. Snead might have worn. It is very similar in shape. I especially love the bright yellow of the hat with the black and white hatband. So fun!
Sammie Hattingdon.
Hope you enjoyed seeing the Sammie hat and it gave you a “hatful of smiles”.
Best wishes, Vivian, Hattingdon & Co.
YouTube
P.S. I found some cool stuff on YouTube, but per usual these days it had so many ads it was a nightmare to watch. This one is not so bad. What a gorgeous swing. Sigh.
