Some years ago Vivian experimented with the idea of a Hattingdon magazine. She named it Hatsquisite. This is the only remaining cover we have, which we just happened to find on an old flashdrive. What do you think?
The design is “so Vivian” isn’t it? Wish she would go further with idea. She may be reconsidering it. By the way that name — Sassy Topper, hahaha! What an imagination the old gal has. Wink.

Today, September 20th, is Hattingdon creator Vivian Grant’s birthday. She is healthy and going strong. Hooray. Oh, and she loves chocolate. So she chose a chocolate cake.
Vivian writes: “I offer many thanks to my forebearers who are instrumental in my longevity and good health,” writes Vivian. “I am also so thankful for all the wonderful birthday wishes I have received, and am still receiving. Thank you with all my heart.”
On the first day of May this year we gave you a sneak peek at Hattingdon’s newest millinery confection — the “Ariel” butterfly headdress. Predictably, Vivian has created it in a multitude of delicious colors.
Today we show four, with blue, pink, green and purple caps. So let’s go!

Here is another popular favourite of Hattingdon fans. It is a very early classic hat, and still as charming as ever. The hat is named after the ever popular and fashion icon Donna Karan, who inspired it.
The Donna Hattingdon classic hat features a gray and black striped dome with stripes of ricrac in orange, pale aqua and gold with a black brim. So fabulous after all these years isn’t it classic hat lovers?
Donna Karan founded DKNY, a New York City–based fashion house for men and women in 1984, specializing in a wide range of fashion products, including clothing, footwear, and accessories.
