Hey there. Thank you for stopping by. Like so many others recently, we have been snowed in. So what did Hattingdon creator & designer Vivian do? Work on Hattingdon of course. What else?
Vivian writes: “For a long time I have wanted to do a bowler hat for Hattingdon. It is such a handsome look on gentlement and the ladies too. As most of you know, I rarely do just one of anything. In this case, the hat stays the same, but the walking sticks are different. One even has a floral motif. How fun.”

UPDATE: Votes are in. You chose #1, the Toby Bowler hat in black, as your overall favourite. The third one with the floral walking stick was right behind it. Thank you for joining in.
We hope the Toby bowler hat brings you a ‘hatful of smiles’.” Here they are. Which one is your favourite?
Come back and see us again soon. Love, Hattingdon.
Brrrrr. Baby it’s cold outside. How about a fabulous hat to warm us up? Vivian was inspired by the gorgeous lavender colour in the painting above.
The Hat
Hattingdon wears a stylishly delicious lavender and white faux fur winter hat with lavender ties featuring matching fluffy pom poms. How sweet it is. How luxurious.

“Of course, black, white, and neutrals will always be timeless. Florals and lavender are a match made in heaven.

“Every year, there are a handful of colors that dominate our closets. Of course, black, white, and neutrals will always be timeless—but it’s fun to experiment with new colors every once in a while. Whether you’re looking towards the runways or your Pinterest mood board for upcoming fashion trends—it can be a bit overwhelming to decide which colors are worth sporting in 2025, and which will still be wearable for years to come. No matter what, wearing color will never go out of style. The only hard part is tracking down your favorite hues.”
More
“No matter your skin tone, the best color for you is the one you feel best in. For New Yorkers, straying from black clothes can be a bit scary. But with a brand new year approaching, we’re given a fresh start to try new things and really push ourselves out of our comfort zones fashionwise. Now’s the time to trade in your favorite black fall coat for a colorful one, or swap out your worn out black boots for a fun metallic pair. Fashion has no rules, so why not test the waters?”
“For 2025, we’re seeing colors we know and love like silver and navy blue. But on the other hand, there are tons of exciting new additions too. Pastel hues are back and here to stay, and if you’re planning to be ahead of the curve this year—listen up for all the colors to keep on your radar.”
“Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know silver is the it girl color at the moment. Whether its Joan of Arc inspired chain mail or stacking your silver jewelry, nothing is cooler than a silver moment. In 2025, we’re bound to see tons of silver clothing pieces and silver accessories. Even though it might seem like a daring choice, silver is clearly one of the most loved colors out there.”
“Th(e) Metallic Mini Dress will remain a closet staple throughout the seasons.”
We left the mini dress bit in the quote for you — not for Hattingdon. Wink.
We find it fun checking out the predictions. Of course we are working with a cartoon horse, which is a whole other matter.
Feathers and ballcaps
We see that that feathers are in for 2025. Oh. Ballcaps are in again too — more than ever they say. That is good news for our hat wearing cartoon horse.
