There is little doubt that this is one of Vivian’s all time favourite hats, and for a lot of Hattingdon fans too. It was designed so many years ago, so early on, that none of us, including Vivian, can remember when she created it.
It is a great look. We love love love it.
Etienne Hattingdon.
Totally wonderful. Red, white, and blue always creates a great look? Bye for now. See you again soon.
First there was Curtis. Then there was Harper. And just before the arrival of the classic hat silhouette, there was Etienne.
Vivian decided to freshen up the Etienne hat . . . .just a little. It looks terrific, doesn’t it? There is something about the combination of red, white and blue.
Etienne.
Well. What do you think?
Oh, the name Etienne is, “A French variant of the Greek name Stephen meaning ‘garland, crown’.”
We love you and wish you a “hatful of smiles”. Stop by again soon. — Love, Hattingdon.
We have two very special hats for you. Eden and Etienne.
Classic Hat
Eden is a sweet hat created in the classic silhouette featuring a lovely bamboo inspired pattern. The colours are soothing and lovely. It features a teal dome, a sky blue hatband and stylish olive brim.

Fashion Hat
Etienne is one of Vivian’s all-time favourite hats. She created the original design very early on, long before what you see here.

Below is the original Etienne created in 2009.

Isn’t she fun? She doesn’t look amused though, does she? Ha ha ha. This design “has come a long way baby!”
How about a wonderful high fashion hat in red, white and blue — French inspired? If you have not met her yet, let us introduce her to you now. Say hello to Etienne.
We hope you like this hat. We adore it!
Etienne
Etienne Hattingdon.
The very first Hattingdon® cartoon Mrs Farrell created was Curtis. The second was Harper.
She really didn’t know where she was going to go from there, if anywhere. And it certainly never occurred to her that she would create 100s of designs over 10 years. And still going.
Following on the heels of Curtis and Harper, Mrs Farrell came up with the idea of having a classic hat silhouette that she could design all kinds of looks with. In between all of those, she created fashion hats and other wonderful marvels.
P.S. We have received your notes and messages about our absence on Twitter and Facebook. We have only been busy on Instagram and Hattingdon’s blog. We believe we can populate our Facebook page when we publish on Instagram. We are experimenting to see if looks okay when we do that. We used to publish to Twitter from here on the Hattingdon blog, but the images no matter how we sized them, chopped something off! ♥♥♥
Oh . . . and this. You would also like more updates via email like we used to do. We are reorganizing things in an effort to meet these requests also. So hang in with us!♥♥♥
