Hattingdon is off to the cinema to take in a movie. And she has the “picture perfect” hat to wear. It is a novelty hat based on popcorn, the kind you get at the movies in a red and white striped box.
Zea Popcorn Hat.
This is a recreated version of the first one made by Hattingdon’s hatmaker, Mrs Farrell. She chose the name Zea which is part of the classification name for the type of maize that popcorn is made from.
Don’t you just love it when you come across something delightful you forgot you had? Well, that is what happened with the Veda hat. Vivian must have created this very early on. I love a dramatic silhouette when it comes to hats, don’t you?
Veda. Updated June 2022.
This hat is a gorgeous green, kind of Fall-ish. Yet I still want to wear summery colours — because it is still so warm. In the high 70’s most days. And the leaves have not even begun to change, which I miss very, very much. Maybe we will have a late but long Fall and a short winter.
I absolutely adores top hats. In this one I am heading out to the Opera, sporting a black topper with a wide white hatband and stunning gold opera glasses.
I have rarely looked more darling . . . . positively “lyrical” wouldn’t you say? Mrs Farrell named the design Trill.
You have seen the most popular Hattingdon hats from A through E. Now you will see the next grouping with your favourite hats beginning with the letters F thru J.
Look who’s first.

Harper is the 2nd ever Hattingdon designed by Mrs Farrell right on the heels of her 1st creation —Curtis. Ingrid is the only Hattingdon hat beginning with the letter “I”, named after Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca.
Jojo just squeaked into 1st place, with the Jenny Rose Slice hot on her heels.
Did this turn out to be our NFL fans versus Kentucky Derby fans? Hmmmm. No matter. Because it was very, very close and it is such a stunner, let’s see it too.
Jenny Rose Slice.
