We reached deep down into our design vault and came across this delight. Amazingly, this hat design was created in late 2007 but was never named or posted. We have taken care of that.
The colour palette is delicious. Royal purple, olive green and hot pink. Wow! We named the design Elana.
Elana Fashion Hat
We hope Elana has given you a “hatful of smiles”. Have a lovely weekend. Regards. Hattingdon Horses.
All colors are amazing, but black is exceptional and distinctive. Black is powerful, and adds class and elegance. Here are your top ten favorite Hattingdon hats in black.

So . . . . what do you think? We think it is a pretty terrific collection of hats you picked out. Thank you everyone who took part.
That just about wraps it up. Oh. Wait.
Skylar
Skylar received a lot of mentions and votes — especially her social media scarf. However, Skylar is out of this competition on a “technicality” — she wears a tied on scarf; not a hat. That is why she was not included in the voting.
To make it up to you, and as a special gift to all of you who love Skylar, here is something you have wanted for a long time. The Skylar social media scarf in black. The shades are a deep, vibrant yellow. So pretty.
It’s Classic Hat Monday. It being St. Patrick’s Day this Thursday, the 17th of March, we are getting in the mood early by kicking the week off with a classic hat in the green, white and orange of the Irish flag, called the tricolor. Say hello to Dublin.
“The Irish flag, or tricolor, was first flown by Thomas Francis Meagher, then a leader of the Young Irelander movement, who would go down in history as Brigadier General Thomas Francis Meagher of the Union Army during the American Civil War.”
“In the US, Meagher is best remembered for his role as a General in the Union Army and Governor of what is now Montana. His impact on Irish history and patriotic pride was also immense.”
“The green represents Irish nationalism; the orange, Ireland’s Protestant minority and the Orange Order; the white, lasting peace between the two.”
Did you know that? We didn’t.
Ireland Wood Flag. Patriot Wood.
We learned this from Patriot Wood, makers of the Ireland Wood flag pictured above:
“The national flag of Ireland (Irish: bratach na hÉireann) — frequently referred to as the Irish tricolour — is a vertical tricolour of green (at the hoist), white, and orange.”
“The flag was adopted in 1916 by the Easter Rising rebels and subsequently by the Irish Republic during the Irish War of Independence (1919–1921). Its use was continued by the Irish Free State (1922–1937) and it was later given constitutional status under the 1937 Constitution of Ireland.”
