Happy Birthday Marshawn Lynch

Today, April 22nd, is superstar NFL running back and entrepreneur Marshawn Lynch’s birthday.

Hattingdon Horse creator Vivian Farrell adores Mr Lynch — as an athlete and as a person — so much so that in 2012 she created a cartoon hat in his honour. Mr Lynch also goes by “Money Lynch” (@MoneyLynch on social media), and the inspiration for the design.

Pip pip hooray

Pip pip hooray. It’s Pippa Day. We love this hat and so does Hattingdon.

The Pippa hat is done in the loveliest pure red, with round dome and a beautiful, sweeping upturned “brim” across the front. Hattingdon decided to wear her mane swept to the front.

Pip pip hooray for Hattingdon!

See you again soon. Hugs and kisses, and millinery blisses.

Loretta Classic

Happy Monday. We have a lovely hat for you. Pretty in pink.

Loretta Hattingdon.

Wikipedia, the fount of all knowledge (wink) mentions this about the color pink:

“Pink is the color of a namesake flower that is a pale tint of red. It was first used as a color name in the late 17th century.”

“According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most often associated with charm, politeness, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity, and romance. A combination of pink and white is associated with chastity and innocence.”

So there you have it! Hope you are feeling “in the pink”.

Sunny Tuesday

It is chilly, wet and a bit dreary where we are. We decided to cheer ourselves up — and you of course — with the Sunny sweetheart hat. Here she is.

When Mrs Farrell first created the hat shape above, we didn’t know what to call it. After a bit more discussion, she heard someone conversing in the background say, “I don’t know what she is going to call it, but it sure is a sweetheart of hat.” Voila! The rest as they say, is history.
