Regina

Hattingdon looks regal in her jewel embellished crown hat. Our posting here is a nod to the late Queen of England whose burial will take place tomorrow.

This design is vintage Hattingdon. We are not 100% certain, but we believe it dates back to 2008. It is one of Vivian’s first designs. She cannot remember the particulars of it or what inspired her to create it. She is glad she did.

We will not be posting on Monday, and will publish the classic hat selected for it on the following day.

Wishing you a “hatful if smiles”. See you then.

Brynn Hattingdon Feathers featured image.

Hello and welcome to Hattingdon’s blog.

Today our darling Hattingdon wears a black beret adorned with three large feathers in red, yellow and green cascading down one side. We named the design “Jenna”. Here she is.

Color meanings

Color-meanings.com reveal the symbolism and meanings of feather colors.

RED. “Red is the color of the Root Chakra, which is the source of energy of life, and vitality. Red feathers are an ode to emotions, courage, passion, and to good fortune.”

YELLOW. “Yellow is the representative color for the Solar Plexus Chakra, therefore, the yellow feather is connected to the Gut Instinct. It is charged with the sun’s energy, and is pulsing with blessings and wisdom. A yellow feather draws attention to intelligence and mental alertness, joy, cheerfulness, and playfulness.”

GREEN. “Green is that of the Heart Chakra, which holds love, relationships, and emotions. A green feather is therefore a sign of abundance, growth and fertility, as well as plants, nature, and healing.”

Color-meanings.com by the way is a fascinating site. Check it out when you get a moment.

P.S. There has been some interest over time regarding this hat design’s name — originally Brynn. We were asked to change the design’s name from Brynn to something else. We decided on Jenna. Bye for now.

Catherine the Great

Alright Hattingdon fans. We are going way, way back. 2008? 2009? We are not sure. It is one of Vivian’s earliest hats (headdress is probably more accurate).

Whatever it is, there is no doubt that it is one of the most festive — if not the most festive — of all the designs Vivian has created. She named it “Catherine” . . . . and it is great. Wink. Look.

Vivian adores this hat, and it has been much beloved over the years by Hattingdon fans.

Thank you for spending time here with us.

Yvette in blue

Summer is beginning to wind down, and Hattingdon has yet to wear her “Yvette” butterfly hat. Vivian created this hat with christenings and weddings in mind. The symbolic butterfly is perfect.

Here it is in baby blue. Hattingdon always looks extra sweet in blue.

Butterflies are deep and powerful representations of life. Butterflies are beautiful and have mystery, symbolism, and meaning and are a metaphor representing spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life.

See you back here soon!
