It was a close call but Vivian finally chose this one. We love it too.
We have lost count of the number of tees, tote bags and mugs we sold this design on for Halloween!
This is the daddy of them all, the very first Hattingdon . . . ever. Vivian created Curtis during Christmas recess while she was lobbying on behalf of horses in Washington D.C. Curtis was an immediate sensation and helped raise a lot of money to help a lot of horses, then and many years thereafter.
Is he, or is he not, so very handsome?

Hello there and Happy New Year.
We thought it would be fun to see which hats Vivian would select as her favorites — from A to Z. We asked her to choose both a classic hat and a fashion hat beginning with each letter of the alphabet.
Here is the hats she selected beginning with the letter A.
First up is a Classic Hat of gray and white stripes featuring a row of three burnt orange chevrons on the front of the crown. Design name Alexa.
This design has always been one of Vivian’s all time favorites: a cross-banded turban in fuschia pink, teal, orchid, leafy green and a marmalade orange. Design name Anita.

Hello and welcome. We are having a lot of fun here rolling out our series of yellow hats. We selected ones that have always been fan favorites. Here is day 3’s hat. It is in a style that we call a “sweetheart hat”. We named it “Sunny”.
When Vivian created this particular silhouette, we did not know what to call it. Then someone said, “I don’t know what we should call it either, but it is a sweetheart of a hat.” And the description stuck.
