Hello and welcome.

All of us here love the festive season and the Christmas hats that go with it. This hat is a stunner, and so elegant — and Christmassy too. Yes. Christmassy is a word. We looked it up in Oxford languages to make sure. Who is going to argue with those folks? Not us. Here is our Christmassy Clara hat.

The Hat

Hattingdon wears an elegant Christmas ribbon inspired fashion hat in red and green. We named the hat Clara.

The focal point of the hat is the gorgeous two tone double ribbon bow in shades of red. It has a rounded dome in green, and green nosebobs complete the look. Gorgeous! Sigh.

We hope our Clara hat brings you a hatful of Christmas smiles.

mint green Christmas and
star shaped red plant revelry
and hoot owl’s quiet in snow
mauve sun is setting

pretty centerpiece
where loved ones gather laughing
joy of the season

the scarecrow leaning
calls to mind the songbird days
in burgundy hat

celebrating Him
and jack frost is at the door

Vivian named today’s Christmas hat Kris (as in Kris Kringle) after the jolly old elf himself. It is a lovely wraparound hat, inspired by Santa’s red suit and wide black belt. So stylish and so delightful. And a big favourite.

Santa Claus—otherwise known as Saint Nicholas or Kris Kringle—has a long history steeped in Christmas traditions.

Today, he is thought mainly as the jolly man in red who brings toys to good girls and boys on Christmas Eve, but his story stretches all the way back to the 3rd century, when Saint Nicholas walked the earth and became the patron saint of children.  See good read at History.com »
