What is red and pink and teal all over? How about the Cherie Classic hat?
If you are new to Hattingdon, you will not know what a “classic hat” is. Well, it started like this.
Vivian, the creator of Hattingdon Horses, had designed a boatload of hats for Hattingdon. She felt she might soon be running out of ideas for new ones. There are only so many hat styles and silhouettes, aren’t there?
So Vivian set about creating a hat silhouette unique to Hattingdon and design for it. The result was a hat with a round dome with a simple medium sized brim created in basic black.

When she first shared it, one of her friends said, “It is very classy or . . . classic looking isn’t it.” Vivian replied yes it was. When thinking about what to call it, the name Eve suddenly popped into her head. Perfect, she thought . . . it being the first of its kind.
She began designing more right away . . . . naturally. We have never thought to count them but it is believed in the neighborhood 60 classic hat designs have been created over the years. That’s Vivian!
Cherie
We now come to today’s classic hat. Vivian named the hat Cherie. The color combination is superb; so very pretty.
The Cherie classic hat is made of a lovely pink dome, a rich red brim and a medium hatband in teal. Front and center on the dome is a fetching button in those colors. Pink nosebobs complete the look.

Nosebobs you ask . . . ?
You have heard the charming term used for earrings as earbobs, right? We believe it comes from the American South (think Gone with the Wind). Well . . . . nosebobs are the bobs on Hattingdon’s noseband. How about that? Wink.
By the way. There are now only three classic hats left in the current series. Sigh!
